Biography
Born and raised in Houston, TX, I developed a passion for research early on. During high school, I served as a research intern in the Statistical Genetics Department at Baylor College of Medicine for two summers. In 2019, I began my academic journey at Texas A&M University as part of the Class of 2023, initially majoring in Chemistry before transitioning to Nutrition. As an undergraduate, I conducted research in the Watanabe Lab for two years, working on the azinomycin anti-tumor antibiotics project. This was followed by two years as a student worker in the Chapkin Lab, where I contributed to lab operations while continuing to apply my research background. After graduating, I was offered a full-time position as a Research Assistant in the Chapkin Lab, where I look forward to growing as a scientist and contributing to the groundbreaking work being done.
