I am from the small town of Poth, Texas just outside of San Antonio. I am an outdoor enthusiast, lover of dogs, and avid baker. I chose to major in Nutrition to further understand the significance that it plays in the role of everyone’s life. During my freshman year, I joined the Chapkin Lab as a student worker, and just recently began doing research.
I have been in the Chapkin Lab for almost 2 years, and recently transitioned to research. In the past years, I have run PCR reactions for mouse genotyping, handled mouse colonies, and assisted in colonoscopy.
